Hello! 

Thank you for taking the time to stop in and meet me!  I have been working with mothers and babies for what seems like my whole life.  I actually began this dream as an eight year old child where, in a Brownie Scout project, I wrote “when I grow up, I want to be a baby nurse and live in Fort Lauderdale FL.”  Well, I DID become a “baby nurse” but my nursing career began in Virginia Beach in 1999.  I graduated from WV Wesleyan College with my BSN and have worked in multiple Labor and Delivery units since then.  As years passed, I knew I wanted to be more.  These women giving birth were so amazing to me! They taught me so many things about vulnerability, strength, and how amazing our bodies truly are.  I LOVED being with them at this pinnacle in their journey…but how awesome if I could travel the whole journey alongside them?  So, in 2009, I began MY journey to midwifery!  I graduated from Frontier Nursing University with an MSN in 2012.  Although I have northern roots, I have remained in VA and love the life I have created here.  I have three beautiful children who are my world and I attend births in the hospital at this time.  For any of you Enneagram enthusiasts…I am a 2 and love to love and love to help those around me!  My goal with this site and my YouTube channel is to educate, inform, and make you laugh just a little.  I hope my life experience and knowledge will help you in some small way whether it’s to teach you something your doctor did not, reassure you, or just give you a smile when you needed one.  I look forward to and welcome all interactions!
